Have read a series of discussing articles in CFA board on ptt.

You should check it out. It's about a question, which I think I've told you, that what's the difference between a undergraduate and graduate students about hunting jobs, which I have some same feeling of it, and the points he mentioned are exactly I think through. 

Worth to mention is that, someone later says that, we should have a gap year for us to go abroad and see the world. Money is not the problem, just borrow, aren't that just discounting your future money back now? Loads of people can loan for buying house, why not loan for studying and travelling. Hahaha, I like that.

We got great loads of days to live(except if I got lung cancer because of smoking...), why can't we just enjoy our life. I really appreciate my job. I can see lots of erudite scholars, which I wish I can someday talk to them, become their friends haha, and study theories, in fact, now I study a book about some statistical methods for econometrics, great numbers of proofs in it, which makes me high, seems I would have orgasm someday. 

All in all, I like to go to graduate school in Taiwan, cuz I can study lots of these theories there, enjoy my life and suck my dick!

韓國MV

最近在家裡看電視的時間比較多，轉到音樂台發現韓國流行文化真的已經強占了channel V。不過我想說的是，韓國大眾偶像不是都以團體出道為多嗎，感覺歐美比較多以個人為出發，為什麼阿？

還有韓國MV在播的時候，每當畫面到一個人時就會在旁邊標他的名字，好像怕觀眾不知道她是誰似的，這樣不是更諷刺，因為他們都長得差不多

疑惑

我現在很煩，到底要出國還不出國...

出國  PhD(5年) 小英跟我出去，可是時間太長。
          MS(1年)   不太可能有獎學金的樣子，可是時間短。

台灣 經研(2年) 就又沒錢了。
         工作          考CFA，高業等等證照。

目前看來第二個選項我最想要，時間短，可是金錢是個很大的問題，錢哪來...

總之，大學畢業跟個智障差不多，別人看你更是。請你做的工作內容大多不好玩...唔...


如果要看著辦的話，我又要準備出國的東西、台灣研究所的考試又要考證照，瘋了不成。

為什麼一代不如一代？

站夜哨在看黑天鵝效應第167頁時，我如然靈光一閃，似乎理解了為什麼大家常常會有「一代不如一代」的想法。

作者說，人們有把往昔理想化的傾向，我探究其原因，發現這和我們在行銷學的第一名效用很像，人人往往只會記得最好的：第一名（你一定不知道第二個踏上月球的太空人叫什麼名字），次之或是失敗者我們鮮少去關心。

故失敗者鮮少在歷史上留名，但是失敗者確實存在，Taleb用「沈默的證據」來闡述此一概念 ;  所以我們看到的往往都是過去成功的例子，並認為過去的日子很美好，但我們忽略了過去的失敗，因為他們在此沈默了。

衣服(續)

    剛剛突然想到，為什麼正式場合一定要那樣穿？我穿短褲拖鞋為什麼不行？原因大概是，我們現在的衣服主要是西方國家來的，現在的正式場合，學術研討會、任何的會議，都是西方國家的東西，在那裏，為溫帶國家，天氣那麼爽，最適合的服裝當然是襯衫長褲加西裝外套，不然會冷死。所以後來，在那種場合大家那樣穿，所有人就認為那樣才是正式的服裝。除此之外，我想不到為什麼西裝就叫正式服裝，短袖短褲不是，正式的點在哪？

想法

今天家教完騎摩托車回家的路上，我有一個想法。

「社會制度不是一個國家興盛與否的關鍵，內化的民族性才是。」

我們常聽到，中國、北韓專制(Autocracy)，他們的政策執行相當有效率，當然他們不重視民權和弱勢無可厚非 ; 同時，我們也聽到實行民主(Democracy)的國家，往往因為重視各方的聲音，政策行政效率低落。所以我想，不管是什麼政策，都有pros and cons，那到底什麼是好政體呢？

難道說，發展中獨裁較佳、已發展民主較優？當然不能完全以國家發展做一元討論，但我想，從某個角度來看，沒有所謂真正好或不好的政體，整體民族的想法才是關鍵，端看整個國家的人民怎麼就事論事。設想一個已經很成熟的民主國家，若希望有非常高的經濟成長時（這邊不討論高經濟成長是否就是好），其總統強而有力地（有如獨裁般，獨排眾議）執行其經濟計劃，當然過程會傷及弱勢產業等等，但如果其國家的人民了解元首的用心，而藉由非政策的各種內部援助幫助弱勢集團度過難關，我想應該能在政策執行上更有效率 ; 同時，若一個獨裁國家，在大刀闊斧地執行其政策時，難道不能有一個在意各方聲音的元首和黨魁？（獨裁<<---->>不在意人權、弱勢，應該不是若且唯若的關係吧。）

老實說，我舉的例子有點偏頗，不過你應該懂我的意思。重述一遍，我想，不管政體為何，若是政府和民眾能目標一致、更有默契，才是真正的關鍵，你會不會覺得我想法太天真？哈哈哈。至於要如何達到那樣的境界，我想就是運氣吧（非常沒見地地把問題丟給機率）

FRM(CAPM, CML, SML, Beta)

Since I really want to start the FRM studying earlier, but with no motivation ( Kaohsiung is really the place for relax); therefore, I would like to share the materials I learned here to record my process, and see what is the opinion of yours on these stuff. You might think these boring, but I don't give a damn haha!

My first setback are CAPM, CML, and SML, which we had learned in the financial management class. Because my FM professor sucks, I learned finance poorly, in the end, I have to restart those all over again myself. It's my karma......

• CAPM(Capital Asset Pricing Model)

Assumptions: /I reorganize the materials myself

1. Perfect market assumptions: no transaction cost, no taxes on trading, the securities can be infinitely divided.

2. Investors are price takers whose individual buy and sell have no impact on assets price.

3. Investors' utility function are based solely on expected portfolio return and risk (Mean-Variance).

4. Investors can borrow and lend unlimited amount at the risk-free rate.

5. Investors are only concentrate about the returns and risk over the single period (single period is all the same for all investors).

6. Homogeneous expectation: Investors have the same forecast of expected return, variance, and covariance. 

6. All assets are marketable, including human capital.

8. Unlimited short-selling is allowed.

    Briefly, 

    1. no transaction cost, taxes, infinitely divided securities

    2. price taker

    3. utility function based on Mean-Variance 

    4. unlimited amount borrow and lend on risk-free rate

    5. homogeneous expectation

    6. all assets marketable

    7. unlimited short-selling

Wanna talk about the CAPM, you cannot skip the CML.

- The slope of the CML is also called the market price of risk and equals the reward-to-risk ratio(Sharpe ratio).

With CML equation, we can derive CAPM equation.

隨筆

大學畢業跟個智障差不多。
最好工作做一做就會隨機過程。

然後我覺得我黑天鵝看到現在，我覺得他都在講自己的想法，part one他在論述的時候，我完全體會不到那中間的邏輯阿，不過真的覺得他是個滿聰明的人就是了。
我工作第二天，持續幫老師資料建檔的同時，聽到斜對面，疑似三十歲的助理，接起電話跟他老師講說，喔，我還在處理那個程式的問題，AR1這個要怎麼弄才好。我也想要這樣啦!

google的books感覺是個很棒的東西。可是他的play台灣版好像沒有，已經兩個禮拜了都還沒好。
這讓我想到，大陸有個網站叫豆瓣網，裡面你可以記錄你看過哪些書、電影等等，但它也是個社群網站，所以你可以找到跟你很相似的人，為何非中國的地方沒這種東西，雖然我能紀錄在上面的應該是沒幾個東西...好慘...但還是是個很棒的網站阿！老蕭去寫一個來。
